V súčasnosti je obec SOLČANY súčasťou Tríbečsko-inoveckého regiónu a Mikroregiónu Západný Tríbeč a Svornosť. Je to rozvinutá obec s kompletnou infraštruktúrou, vrátane čističky odpadových vôd. Má vybudovanú obchodnú sieť, niekoľko reštauračných zariadení, základnú a materskú školu, zdravotné strediská. Je tu sídlo rímsko-katolického farského úradu. Obec má športový klub /futbal/ , dychováú hudba Sližár, spevácke skupiny Lišňanka, Ruže a Lidovec. V obci taktiež s dlhoročnou tradíciou pôsobí Dobrovoľný hasičský zbor. Z obce pochádza z rodu Odescalchiovcov žiačka L.van Beethovena a známi futbalisti Anton Ondruš, Anton Švajlen, Ivan Horn a Ivan Ondruška. Obec má v súčasnosti 2526 obyvateľov, rozloha 2001 ha.
