Moravany nad Váhom sú obec na Slovensku, ktorá sa nachádza pri ústí potoka Striebornica na vyvýšenej terase na ľavom brehu Váhu asi 5 km východne od mesta Piešťany. Je známa predovšetkým vďaka svojim archeologickým náleziskám a objavom o pravekom osídlení
História
Obec je písomne doložená pomerne neskoro – zmienka o nej sa nachádza v donačnej (darovacej) listine zo 14.augusta 1348,ktorou uhorský kráľ Ľudovít I. daroval magistrovi Mikulášovi, správcovi kráľovských pivníc a tekovskému županovi za zásluhy v neapolskej výprave kráľovský hrad Themetyn
