Obec Tovarníky sa nachádza na západnom Slovensku, z hľadiska územno-správneho členenia, patrí do Nitrianskeho vyššieho územného celku, okresu Topoľčany. Leží severozápadne od mesta Topoľčany, tiahnúc sa v povodí potoka Chocina, ktorá sa vlieva do rieky Nitry.
Zástavbou obec splynula s mestom Topoľčany. Na obdobie medzi rokmi 1977-1993 sa obec stala súčasťou mesta. Ako samostatná obec existuje od 1. 1. 1993.
Rozloha katastrálneho územia je 541 ha s nadmorskou výškou od 175 do 288 m.n.m. Počet obyvateľov 1414.
Šľachtické sídlo Kaštieľ Tovarníky, vhodný ako priestory pre svadobné a módne fotenia. Prenájom historických priestorov na eventy.
Potok Chotina. Jazierko v parku pri kaštieli.
