Zbehy sa nachádzajú v Nitrianskom kraji, asi 8 km severozápadne od okresného mesta Nitra. Obec susedí s obcami Alekšince, Lužianky, Čakajovce a Čab. Obec leží v juhovýchodnej časti Nitrianskej pahorkatiny, v nadmorskej výške od 144 do 239 m n. m.. Obcou tečie potok Andač, Slivášsky a Perkovský potok a potok Radošinka, ktorý sa v obci Lužianky vlieva do rieky Nitra. Rozloha katastra obce je 1 955 ha, z toho časť obce Andač leží na rozlohe 294 ha. Počet obyvateľov je k dátumu 31.12.2011 v obci Zbehy a v časti Zbehy-Andač spolu 2245 obyvateľov. Miestna časť Andač sa nachádza severozápadne od Zbehov, na dolnom toku potoka Andač.
Dominantou obce je Kostol sv. Kríža, postavený v gotickom slohu v roku 1397. Od prestavby v roku 1637 má renesančnú podobu.
